Alex Caige chatted to frontman Danny O'Donoghue to find out what we can expect and have a few laughs at the same time. He sounds like such a super guy and has a touching admiration for our beautiful country.
Listen to the interview below.
Whenever I come to South Africa, I just see a nation that has been through a hell of a lot in the past but is really strong when coming together. You have that good-foot-bad-foot kind of thing. You go through really bad periods but then you come back and have really good periods.Danny O'Donoghue, lead singer of The Script
The Script have filmed two music videos in South Africa, for Man on A Wire and Superheroes.
I think we, as Irish people, really associate ourselves with that (South Africa) because we've come through hardships, as well. I think we're very like-minded because we love a good drink, you know? We love to have a sing or have a shout and a sense of humour is always there.Danny O'Donoghue, lead singer of The Script
I think that there are a lot of countries that don't get us (The Script). They think we're okay with interviews, but Australia and South Africa are really funny countries with hilarious people - there's a natural gift of humour there.Danny O'Donoghue, lead singer of The Script
