[LISTEN] "My company says they have no money but they just bought..."

According to the Daily Mail:
Matt Hancock (British politician serving as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care) has defended spending almost £50,000 (just over R1,000,000) on takeaways for civil servants during the pandemic.
The Health Secretary said that his staff were '18-hour days' and that ordering from the Filipino takeaway was 'possibly the best value food you can get' as he was grilled about the bill for his department.
The figure came to light following a major investigation which revealed £5.6 billion in public money had been spent on luxuries for Whitehall workers, including tens of thousands of pounds on takeaway for Health Department staff.
So, Anele and the Club asked Joburgers what their company bought after claiming they didn't have money.
Thembekile rolled in with some of his spice to kick things off...
- there's no budget for milk and stationary but they bought a flying school
- we were sent to Thailand for good performance and when we got back from the trip we were told we're getting retrenched because the department is running at a loss
- we didn't have money to give me a raise but took 300 employees to Sun City
- we didn't have money but they redid the tennis courts
