Anele and the Club were off-air for the past few days and we received a lot of questions from Joburgers wanting to know if they're okay.

On Monday 7 December, the Club's Frankie Fire joined Zweli - standing in for the Club - to update Joburg on their absence.

You would have heard in the news that COVID-19 numbers have increased and that's one of the reasons we've been on away on sick leave - some of the team members have tested positive for COVID-19. We've said this over the past 8 months that everyone's body reacts differently to the virus, so we've been in various stages of getting better over the past couple of days. But _ja_, despite all the protocols - there are serious protocols in place at 947 and Primedia - but ultimately this just happens. One of the reasons we're isolating is to keep everyone safe, so we're going to be off for a few days.

Anele and the Club returned as a full team on Monday 14 and Anele wanted to share her experience with the virus.

We played back Anele’s Covid-19 diary (voice note) and... wow.

Even when she was taken to hospital & diagnosed with Covid-19 pneumonia, she was thinking about documenting everything for us.

Above all, we are thankful for the entire team’s recovery.

With the second wave of the virus taking place, it's important to hear just how severe the effects can be. The Club also chatted to other Joburgers and asked them to share their experiences - and also ask her the questions they wanted answered about COVID-19.
