Competition Comm says schools must not force parents to procure branded masks
The Competition Commission has issued a school uniform circular asking schools to adhere to the guidelines presented to avoid anti-competitive behaviour and price hiking.
One of these guidelines specifically requires schools not to force parents to purchase new or additional school uniform items for clothes rotation during the Covid-19 pandemic in South Africa.
Divisional Manager for Advocacy at the Competition Commission Khanyisa Qobo chatted to Primedia Broadcasting's 702 to shed more light on this matter.
