The National Museum of Military History
The Suzuki #947Crew takes pride in finding the best spots in Joburg for all Joburgers and found themselves at the National Museum of Military History that forms part of the Ditsong Museum of South Africa.
We had the honour of going on a private tour with Richard Henry who is a curator of Armoured Fighting.
The Museum was founded in 1947 and has since evolved into a historic site for all who share a passion in learning about military history. The Suzuki 947 Crew went from learning the history of the museum to viewing where the history is preserved at the Gen AML Masondo library.
From the library, we went to learn about the Messerschitt turbo-jet, the South African Reconnaissance mark trucks as well as the Soviet union/Poland main battle tanks.
Richard gave the Suzuki 947 Crew an experience of a lifetime. In one of the greenest suburbs of Johannesburg, forming a part of the Johannesburg Zoo and the Zoo Lake recreation area is where you find this wealth of knowledge.
